Code of Practice for Fire Resisting Construction 1996
Fire safety in a building is determinded by a number of factors one of which is its ability to resist the effects of fire and to minimize the spread of fire and smoke. Requirements for fire resisting construction for buildings are laid down in Part XV of the Building (Construction) Regulations. This Code of Practice provides guidance on compliance with these requirements.
This Code will be reviewed regularly. Suggestions for improving it are welcome.
